Roller Coaster - Coaster
Roller Coaster is a wooden roller Coaster, located at Lagoon amusement park. Designed by John Miller, Roller Coaster was built in 1921 and now stands as the 7th oldest roller Coaster in the world and the oldest roller coaster western united states. Roller coaster has been threw disaster and innovation. In 1953 Roller Coaster was damaged when the rest of the park burned down, the station and part of the Lift had to be rebuilt. Over the years, Roller Coaster has had computer upgrades and new trains added. In 2007, it became an ACE Roller Coaster Landmark, for being a classic coaster. With 89 years of history, it has been a part of Lagoon almost since the beginning and will remain as big thriller at Lagoon for years to come. As Lagoon has slowly been rebuilding sections of the coaster each year. Lagoon has also decided to stop painting the ride so as the years go on it will slowly move from white to brown.
Ride Description
Roller Coaster starts with a turn out of the station and over to the lift hill where it rises 60 feet. The train then plunges down the first hill and up the next and down again around the west turn and into a several more series of hills gradually getting smaller around two more turns before returning to the station.
