Rogue Valley Manor

Rogue Valley Manor is a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) located in the City of Medford1, in the heart of beautiful Rogue Valley of Southern Oregon.

Overview

Located 27 miles north of the California border, Rogue Valley Manor has long been recognized as a premier senior living community. Not only does the sheer size and scope of the campus set the community apart, but so does the array of beautiful living accommodations available there. Spacious cottages are situated on the gentle slopes of Barneburg Hill, a southern Oregon landmark that makes up the majority of the 600+ acre community. Nearly 300 Independent Living cottages grace the hillside. Apartment living is available in the 3 multi-story buildings on the hilltop. Skyline Plaza, Manor Terrace and the original Manor building offer a variety of floor plan options, from efficiency studio apartments to spacious 3 bedroom apartment homes. A limited number of freestanding homes are also available along Rogue Valley Manor Drive. No matter which style of home a resident selects, the landscape and lifestyle available at Rogue Valley Manor— the West Coast’s first accredited CCRC—is second to none!

The Continuing Care Retirement Community Concept

Simply put, a CCRC is a particular type of retirement community that offers a vibrant, active lifestyle along with several levels of health care and support services, should a resident’s needs change over time. Having this comprehensive continuum of care available is what provides CCRC residents with such an incredible sense of security and peace of mind. Our residents know that they’ve planned well for their future, which, of course, allows them to enjoy each day fully.

Mission Statement

The Rogue Valley Manor is committed to enriching the lives of its residents in a Continuing Care environment.

History

In 1955, an ecumenical community group of Methodists, Episcopalians, and Presbyterians came together to address the need for providing care for the seniors of southern Oregon. Their discussion led to the formation of a not-for-profit organization, which purchased 16 acres in Medford and built the original 10-story Rogue Valley Manor building. Through the years, the Manor has grown in size and scope. Its expansive campus is now home to nearly 1,000 residents. You do not need to be a member of any particular religious denomination to become a resident. At the Manor, an interdenominational awareness of good fellowship is demonstrated by people of all faiths.

A Not-for-Profit 501(c)(3) Organization

Rogue Valley Manor is a not-for-profit organization, which means that all funds exceeding expenses are reinvested back into the community itself. Because there are no shareholders or investors who are expecting to earn profits, the Manor is able to use its funds for things that enhance the lives of residents.

Experienced Management

Along with a 53 year proven track record of success, Rogue Valley Manor is backed by Pacific Retirement Services (PRS), a national not-for-profit leader in the senior living and health care sector. The PRS corporate philosophy is based on a resident-centered model of service provision: at PRS communities, residents always come first. PRS strives for excellence in all areas of business, managing each with the highest standards of quality, integrity, and compassion. Headquartered in Medford, Oregon, PRS operates and manages a growing family of organizations, including Continuing Care Retirement Communities, affordable senior housing centers, charitable foundations serving residents at PRS communities, and a community volunteer network that provides volunteers to help people in need.

Fully Accredited

Rogue Valley Manor is fully accredited by CARF’s Continuing Care Accreditation Commission (CCAC). Accreditation is important because it assures people that an organization is committed to encouraging feedback, continuously improving services, and managing risk. CARF-CCAC accreditation is a voluntary process and means that the community has put itself through a rigorous peer-review process and demonstrated to a team of surveyors that it is committed to conforming to CARF-CCAC’s accreditation conditions and standards.
