Rhonda Vetere
Rhonda Vetere (born June 27, 1971) is an American technology executive, author, endurance athlete, and public speaker known for her leadership roles in global organizations, growing companies and 23 mergers and acquisitions, and her advocacy for women in technology and athletics. Vetere is recognized as public figure across multiple domains, including global corporate leadership, endurance sports, authorship, and advocacy for STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education.
Early life and education
Vetere pursued her undergraduate education at George Mason University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree. She was recruited to manage cost efficiency, operational effectiveness, and large-scale teams—skills critical to advancing ELC's global technology initiatives. Prior to her tenure at ELC, Vetere held various senior IT roles where she led enterprise-wide transformations, oversaw mergers and acquisitions, and implemented streamlined processes to drive organizational change. At ELC, she served as Chief Technology Officer (CTO), overseeing the company's global technology operations.
Prior to Estée Lauder, Vetere held senior technology roles at firms such as JPMorgan Chase, Barclays/Lehman Brothers, and HP Enterprise Services, where she focused on IT transformation and large-scale mergers and acquisitions. She has lived and worked internationally - in New York, Hong Kong, Singapore, London, Mumbai, and across India - and has managed teams of up to 20,000 people. Vetere is also the co-author of an HP special edition book, Enterprise Service Management for Dummies. Later, in 2019, she became Executive Vice President and CIO of Herbalife Nutrition, assuming global responsibility for information technology strategy and implementation across the organization.

Vetere is recognized as an All-World Athlete by IRONMAN, having completed over 134 endurance races globally including multiple IRONMAN 70.3 triathlons, marathons, and half-marathons around the world. Her athletic pursuits are closely tied to her advocacy for STEM through sports, where she promotes science, technology, engineering, and mathematics education via athletic engagement and community initiatives. A swimmer since the age of six, Vetere attributes her athletic discipline and mental resilience to her early training in sports. She has been the panelist of SHAPE Women's Half Marathon in 2019.
Vetere is known for being a "Force Of Good and Corporate Athlete" out of the Board Room. Among her most notable athletic accomplishments is participating in the Serengeti Girls Run, a 55-mile endurance run through the Serengeti in Tanzania, which she has completed annually over a four-year period to raise awareness and funds for women's education and empowerment in Africa.
In 2019, Vetere also participated in the Sanlam Cape Town Marathon as part of the Endurocad Young Women Empowerment Programme, joining other global female athletes to raise awareness for youth and gender-based development through sports.
In 2022, Vetere was part of a cycling team that competed in the Race Across America (RAAM), widely regarded as one of the most challenging ultra-distance cycling races in the world.1 The team completed the coast-to-coast journey from Oceanside, California to Annapolis, Maryland—a distance of over 3,070 miles—in 7 days, 8 hours, and 55 minutes. The ride was undertaken to bring attention to the high rates of suicide among military veterans and first responders.
In 2019, Vetere was a panelist at the SHAPE Women's Half Marathon in New York City, contributing to the discussion panel titled "Women Run the World," which highlighted the intersection of athleticism and professional achievement for women leaders.
