Raymond De Motte
Raymond De Motte, born 1956, of American and British descent. Credited with re-starting the Sunshine Mine, and charitable works sparking a renewal of vitality in Idaho's Silver Valley.
Born in Newcastle , England , descendant of five generations of coal miners . Lived in England, Australia, and Italy , picking up knowledge of five foreign languages .
Re- Start of the Sunshine Mine
In 2003 as CEO of Sterling Mining Company acquired control of Sunshine Mine , closed and previously plagued by labor-management strife . Developed an innovative worker-centered approach along with mine manager Mike Maclean , along with a revised emphasis on safety. Won Sentinels of Safety Award . Developed a revised mine plan which included the first Upper Country exploration at the Sunshine Mine in decades . The mine re-started production in December 2007 . Official reopening ceremony March 2008 attended by various dignitaries including the Governor of idaho , Butch Otter . ( "Miracle at Big Creek " , 12/23/2007 , SVMJ )
Charitable Activities
Focused individual and corporate contritons of funds , and time , on several charitable activities. Driving force behind the annual Center of the Universe celebration in Wallace , Idaho. Helped launch the annual Silver Summit Investment Conference , as well as numerous { Wallace , Idaho } events such as the Annual Labor Day market.
Recognized as Man of the Year in 2006 by Shoshone County and Wallace , Idaho Chambers of Commerce. Currently Director of the Historic Wallace Preservaton Society .
Led First Thiosulphate Mining Operation in Zacatecas , Mexico
Experimented with thisulphate recovery process and planned , developed and built ongoing thiosulphate mining operaton in Zactecas , Mexico.

Career Highlights
Worked in early years for one of America's largest companies , the Bechtel Corporation , and subsequently a Fortune 50 company , Mckesson .
He has been director of numerous mining companies including Stelring Mining Company , Kimberly Godl Mines , Ashignton Mining Corporation , and current Boulder Hill Mines.
