Ray Porter (actor)

Ray Porter (born 1965) is an American theatre, film and television actor and voice actor.

Biography

Born in New York City and raised in Kokomo, Indiana, he attended the California Institute of the Arts and received a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in 1989.

Career

In 1990, he joined the Oregon Shakespeare Festival in Ashland, Oregon, where his roles included the title role in a stage production of Moliere, Tullus Aufidius in Coriolanus, and Puck in A Midsummer Night's Dream (which earned him a mention in the book "Shakespeare For Dummies.")

He has appeared in numerous television shows, including Murphy Brown, ER, Will and Grace, Frasier, The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, Monk, CSI, Southland, and The Closer.

His film work includes Almost Famous and Sin.

Porter has narrated several audiobooks, garnering two Audie Award nominations and several Earphones awards from Audiofile Magazine, which has listed him as one of "The Best Voices of 2008".

He has also voiced characters for the animated feature "The Little Engine That Could", and the animated series "Curious George" on PBS.
