Rashtriya Jagran Manch
Rashtriya Jagran Manch is a new Hindu organization. It was formed in 2007 by a breakaway group of RSS. It has been accused of involvement in Malegaon, Modasa and Kanpur blasts.
This organisation is led by Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur. She was a regular at Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) meetings and gave fiery speeches.
Anti Terror Squads (ATS) in four Indian states have made a series of arrests in connection with the bomb blasts in Malegaon and Modasa.
In her sworn affidavit, Sadhvi Pragya had alleged that she was illegally detained for 10 days, that she was physically assaulted and mentally tortured while in custody, that she was robbed of her dignity by the ATS which questioned her chastity that no female police constables were present during her interrogation and transfer from one place to another and that she was denied the right to contact her family and her lawyer. Following this, the MCOCA special court denied Mumbai ATS any further remand of Sadhvi Pragya and other accused and sent them to judicial custody instead.
