Rafael Simoes Miranda

Rafael Simoes Miranda (Rio de Janeiro, April 23, 1980) is a Brazilian designer based in Milan since 2000 and a member of the ADI Associazione per il Disegno Industriale.
Prized with some of the most prestigious designs awards amongst with the Red Dot Design Award, in 2006 Rafael initiate a collaboration with Giorgio Galli Design Lab for timepieces and jewels designs for brands like Timex, Versace, Ferragamo and Valentino.
In earlier years Rafael worked for Hitachi Europe responsable for the design of consumer electronic products, and has been an intern at Zuccon International Projects, naval architecture studio responsible for most of the designs of Ferretti Group.
He obtained his graduate diploma at Istituto Europeo di Design and concluded his master studies in Industrial Design at Scuola Politecnica di Design.
