Press for Peace(PFP)

Press for Peace (PFP) is a Kashmir based NGO and think tank, founded by Khawaja Zafar Iqbal, eminent journalist and peace activist, in 1999. PFP strives for the promotion of peace, tolerance, interfaith harmony and protection of human rights including freedom of press in South Asia. After the catastrophic earthquake in 2005, it has emerged as a dynamic force which has actively involved in the humanitarian work just few hours after the earthquake. The PFP proved to be a motivating force for a huge number of volunteers in all affected parts of Azad Kashmir. Now, PFP has become a well established and well reputed organization. Press for Peace (PFP) has extended its network from Azad Kashmir to Pakistan, Indian Held Kashmir, UAE, Austria and Canada. It is also honoured and accepted worldwide, particularly for its efforts for the promotion of a culture of mutual understanding and harmony in the region.
