Pixie (photographer)
Pixie (born 1973) is an American photographer, known for celebrity portraiture and music band photography. She completed her Bachelor of Fine Arts at the School of Visual Arts in New York City, one of the nation’s leading colleges of art and design. She subsequently relocated and opened her studio in Los Angeles, CA. She is the owner of Pixie Vision Productions, with her work featured nationally and internationally in galleries and publications.
Photography Career
Pixie’s talent allowed her to work with big-name entities such as Amanda Palmer and The Dresden Dolls, David J from Bauhaus, East Bay Ray from the Dead Kennedys, the comedienne Margaret Cho, and many others. She is also one of the premier belly dance photographers in America – sought by celebrities such as Rachel Brice and Zoe Jakes (The Indigo Belly Dance Company), Ariellah Aflalo, and countless others. Pixie has toured with numerous bands documenting life on stage and off, and her work has been featured worldwide in publications including Variety, Pulp Magazine, Playgirl, Metal Edge, Complete Woman, [http://www.skinink.com| Skin & Ink], Modern Drummer, Revolver Magazine, and Rolling Stone.
