Piotr Krakowski

Piotr Krakowski (born Petras Krakauskas, 15'th of March 1957 in Sejny) Polish footballer of Lithuanian origin, striker, currently coach of the B71 Sandoy. During his football career he measured 180 cm tall and weighed 78 kg.

Playing career in Poland

Krakowski started his football career at the club Wigry Suwalki, which at the time was in the fourth division. Piotr played there only one season (1975–1976), during which the club gained promotion to the third division.

In 1976 he went to the Premier League club, Lech Poznan, where he remained for five seasons.

In 1980 he left the club and signed for Olimpia Poznań, where he stayed until 1985. From Poznań he moved to Lubin Basin, where he played for 3 years. He played almost thirty matches, but scored only six goals; three in hist first two seasons. His last club in Poland was a brief stint at Warta Poznan, which he left in 1989.

Playing career in The Faroe Islands

Piotr left Poland for newly promoted B71 Sandoy in 1989, B71 won the Faroese Premier League that same year. Already in 1990 he was appointed player/coach of the team until 1996. Piotr played 74 matches, scoring 6 goals during his time with B71.

Piotr left B71, signing for FS Vágar in 1997 and then ÍF Fuglafjørður in 1998. He played seventeen matches for FS Vágar and six for ÍF Fuglafjørður without scoring any goals. In 1998 he ended his playing career.

Coaching

Piotr continued his coaching career in 2000, when he became head coach of B36 Tórshavn. He won the Faroe Islands Premier League the following year, before leaving in 2003 for EB/Streymur where remained until 2007.

In 2008 he coached 07 Vestur (formerly FS Vágar and FS Vágar 2004). In 2010 he returned to B71 Sandoy, then back to 07 Vestur in 2012.

He returned for a third time to B71 Sandoy in 2014; now playing third tier football in 2. deild. They were promoted in the second to last round.
