Peer Resource Program

The Peer Resource Program (PRP) is a student outreach organization at St. John's University in Collegeville Township, Minnesota. Members of the PRP are students from both the College of Saint Benedict and Saint John's University who work to enhance the college experience by creating awareness of issues and aspects of college life and life after college.

Mission

Programming is The Primary method in which the PRP reaches out to students. In both formal and nontraditional settings, PRP programming integrates a variety of elements including risk-taking, awareness, self growth, trust, wellness and creativity.

The PRP helps to create new student groups, as well as challenge and aid in the development of existing groups.

The main services and programs provided by the PRP benefits the members, the students, and the entire college community. Members of the PRP learn and develop leadership and facilitation skills, as well as organization and group dynamics.

Dancing

PRP's also like to have fun. They recognize that through spontaneous movements endorphins are released creating a sense of joy. "Hocummming" is a new type of dance party where an individual must ask another individual to dance with them. Creative ways must be found to invite a person. The biggest "Ho" is given the title "Lynsi Pasuckit".
