Palangal

Palangal () is a 1982 Malayalam film written by John Paul Puthusery and directed by Bharathan starring Nedumudi Venu, Zarina Wahab, Bharath Gopi. Film's plot is a love story of a man who works in railway lines and a woman who lost his lover in railway lines.

Plot

Usha Zarina Wahab comes to her sister's home for relief from a terrible tragedy of his life which is the accidental death of his lover Ravi played by Shankar (actor).In the new home she met Ramankutty played by Nedumudi Venu who is friend of Vasu Menon played by Bharath Gopi husband of her sister.Their friendship eventually turn into love,But Ramankutty's mother does not allow this proposal. Usha Slowly realizes that Vasu menon's feelings for her come in a dirty way,but she does not tell her sister as she feared that this will RUiN their family.So Usha decided to go back to her home on the way she met Ramankutty who convinced his mother for marrying Usha and the couple move together in Rail lines (Palangal in Malayalam).
