Palacio del Huerto de las Bombas
The Palacio del Huerto de las Bombas (Palace of the Orchards of the Bombs) or the Palacio del Marqués de Torre Pacheco was a Baroque palace located in the current Avenue Miguel de Cervantes in the city of Murcia, Region of Murcia, Spain.
Originally called Palacio del Marqués de Torre Pacheco, it was built at the end of the 17th century, was sent to build by Don Baltasar Fontes, 2nd Marquis of Torre Pacheco. It was named as Palacio del Huerto de las Bombas after the Battle of the Orchard of the Bombs was carried out at the portal of the palace, during the War of the Spanish Succession.
The palace was demolished in the 1960s but its portal is preserved in the Jardin del Malecón in Murcia. In this portal it highlights the nobiliary shield of the 1st Marquis of Torre Pacheco.
