Our Lady of Vailankanni high school

Our Lady Of Vailankanni High School is situated at Link Road near Yogi Nagar in the suburb of Mumbai, Borivali West. It was started in 1982. The Founder Mrs Sally De Silva looks after the school. At Present the Head Master is Mr.Sanjay Tiwari

History

The school started in shops in Jairaj Nagar in 1982 and then the founder of school Mrs Sally De Silva built a small building on Link Road, Near Yogi Nagar where the school exists from 1991.

Academics

The school has maintained its prestige in education and academics. This school maintains the high standard of a continuous 100% results since 1999 to 2009 with the exception of a few year where on an average it has always given results of 95% and above as the passing average rate for Secondary School Certificate (SSC) Exams. Past teachers include Ms Maria, Ms Pearl, Mr Peter Matthew, Miss Vijaya, Mr Subash and Ms Roma.

The alumni of school are very successful across the world. The alumni of these school are proud of the educational level provided by the principal of this school. she is respected a lot by the alumni as well as their parents.

SPORTS

The school lack on the sports front. There is not much sports happening there.

Overall its a good and reasonable school for the middle claas family's kids. The quality of education is very good and if a student reaches standard 10th successfully he is assured a First Class if not a Distinction in the SSC Exams. This school provides an excellent level of educational standard. Due to the lack of infrastructure, this school is cannot be compared to any of the International schools of Borivali or surrounding. Still this school provides the best quality education due to experienced Principal.
