Optima3

Optima3 Limited is a business process and IT consulting company. It was formed by three entrepreneurial employees from the ashes of Alliance & Leicester bank. They recognised the powerful mix of business, process and IT skills that they had acquired over a number of years in a variety of organisations, primarily finance. Optima3's experience spans beyond just finance though, with clients in the public sector.

History

Optima3 was incorporated in the UK in January of 2009. During the previous 8-10 years, the three founders had all worked in various roles at Alliance & Leicester, but their paths had crossed when they all worked in an 'internal consultancy' team lead by Sean Arkless. The team soon gained notoriety and popularity amongst the senior managers of the company and it quickly became clear that they were on to something with their homegrown Process methodology for reducing costs, increasing revenues and improving customer service.

When it was announced in July of 2008 that Santander were to takeover Alliance & Leicester, all three of the Optima3 founders saw an opportunity to re-use the skills they had so effectively used to save A&L around £8m in 4 years. When they all left A&L in early 2009 they set up the new company and immediately applied their skills to their first client.

The rest, as they say, is history.

Trademark

Feeling very strongly about their 'brand', the company set about trademarking its name and logo soon after formation. After some powerful opposition, the company held strong and won it's case on the 7th August 2009.

Partnerships

As a result of the relationships that all 3 founders had built up over many years, the company is able to draw on the skills and resources of many other partner companies to address the needs of it's clients.
