Torry Harris Business Solutions (THBS) is an IT consulting and services firm, specializing in Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), middleware and integration. Founded in 1998 in New Jersey, USA, the company has development centers in Bangalore (India) and Shenzhen (China). The company is CMM Level 5 and CMMi Level 3 certified and has IS 27001 certification for security.

History

The founding members of Torry Harris Business Solutions belonged to a company called Transarc, a Pittsburgh- based Software company that developed Encina and the DFS component of DCE. Transarc was purchased by IBM in 1994 and became the IBM Pittsburgh Lab in 1999. Members from Transarc formed Torry Harris to pursue their vision in the distributed-computing space. Torry Harris Business Solutions was founded in 1998.

In 2001, it diversified offerings into EAI, messaging and secure transaction processing.

In 2003, the company made an early investment into SOA and formed a SOA Center of Excellence. One of the first Offshore SOA services factories was set up by THBS in 2006.
