Oleg Khudolii
Oleg Khudolii(, born February 22, 1954, Liubotyn) is a Ukrainian researcher, Doctor of Physical Education and Sports, full professor, academician of the Higher School Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
Biography
Oleg Khudolii was born in Liubotyn, Kharkiv region. He graduated with distinction from Kharkiv State Pedagogical Institute (1975), his specialization being physical training and qualification — physical education teacher.
After his military service, since 1977, he has been working at Kharkiv State Pedagogical Institute (now H. S. Skovoroda Kharkiv National Pedagogical University) as an instructor, a senior instructor (1984–1987), an associate professor (1987–1998), and a department head (since 1998). He held the position of Dean of the School of Physical Education and Sport (2012–2015). The researcher is currently working as the Head of the Department of Theory and Methods of Physical Education, Recreation and Rehabilitation Physical Training.
Oleg Khudolii defended his PhD thesis “Effectiveness of Teaching 8-10-Year-Olds Gymnastic Exercises through Different Modes of Training” [Effektivnost obucheniia gimnasticheskim uprazhneniiam detei 8—10 let pri razlichnykh rezhimakh trenirovochnykh zaniatii] at the Thesis Committee of the Research Institute of Children and Adolescent Physiology of the USSR Academy of Pedagogical Sciences. PhD in Pedagogy (1983).
He received the academic title of associate professor in 1988 and that of full professor in 2011.
Oleg Khudolii defended his doctoral thesis “Theory-Driven and Method-Based Principles of 7-13-Year-Old Gymnasts' Training System” [Teoretyko-metodychni zasady systemy pidhotovky yunykh himnastiv 7–13 rokiv] at the Thesis Committee of the National University of Physical Education and Sport of Ukraine. Doctor of Physical Education and Sports (2011).
In 2012, Oleg Khudolii was elected academician of the Higher School Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.

Scientific Research
Oleg Khudolii’s main areas of research are the following: theory and methods of physical training, theory and methods of professional training of physical education teachers, theory and methods of training young gymnasts.
He is the author of more than 200 academic papers, including the teaching aids: “Methods of Training Young Gymnasts” [Metodyka pidhotovky yunykh himnastiv] (in Ukrainian), “Principles of Gymnastics Training Methods” (in Ukrainian; 1997, 1998, 2004, 2008), “History of Physical Education” [Istoriia fizychnoi kultury] (in Ukrainian; 2004), “General Principles of Physical Training Theory and Methods” (in Ukrainian; 2008, 2014), and the monograph “Modeling Young Gymnasts Training” (in Russian; 2005).
He has prepared five PhDs.
Oleg Khudolii is a member of the Doctoral Thesis Committee.
He is the Editor-in-Chief of the journal “Theory and Methods of the Physical Education” [Teorìâ ta Metodika Fìzičnogo Vihovannâ], an organizer of the scientific conferences “Current Issues of Physical Education”, “Current Issues of Physical Training and Sports”, “Complex Systems Modeling in Human Mechanics, Physical Training and Sports”.
