History
After working for years as a furniture manufacturing sales representative, Abel Zalcberg founed his own company in 1995. Using personal savings, he and his wife Barbara set up an office in their home, printed up a catalog and sold chairs from vendors Abel had worked with in the past. The company offered faster delivery times by keeping less inventory in STOCK.
Today, OFM is a major wholesale operation that specializes in providing affordable furniture to general businesses and government offices, as well as schools and hospitals. The company’s products are also sold through a variety of catalogs and online dealers, including Officefurniture.com, Furnitureonline.com and Officedepot.com. It has around 25 employees. The Zalcbergs' son, Blake, serves as the company's chief operating officer.
The company's headquarters are a office and warehouse in Holly Springs, North Carolina. It is currently planning a 15,000- to expansion to allow faster shipping of low-volume products, such as chairs in non-standard colors. OFM also contracts with manufacturers in Mexico, Taiwan, and China to design furniture and products.

OFM manufactures and distributes over 300 office and school furniture products for use in businesses, government, schools and health care facilities.
Accessories: OFM carries a number of different accessories including a dollies; kneelers; book racks; back cushions; hanging opens shelves; ambient lighting; CPU holders; hard floor casters; adjustable arm sets; shelf dividers; and more.
Chairs: Seating products meet or exceed ANSI/BIFMA standards for commercial use. OFM stocks a full array of chairs including stools; computer and task chairs; multi-shift; executive fabric; guest and reception; executive leather; stackable; big & tall; office recliner; and Readylink group seating chairs.
Cubicles: Cubicles and workstations are designed for easy assembly. No tools are required to assemble the OFM cubicles and workstations. Currently OFM stocks three different cubicle series including the RiZe Information; the RiZe Kits; and RiZe Components models.
Greenguard: Greenguard certified products by the GREENGUARD Environmental Institute for low chemical emissions, including stack chairs with and without arms; and plastic seat and back stackers.
Storage: A variety of storage solutions are available including the X5 and X5 lite; file pedestals; wire shelving; and office furniture shelving.
Tables & Desks: Designed and fabricated with top quality materials for durability in a commercial environment. OFM stocks a wide array of tables and desks including reception and conference tables; multipurpose tables; training tables and computer desks; and cluster tables.
