Octane (band)
Octane is a rock band from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Band history
Octane has played with such national acts as Fuel, Breaking Benjamin, Disturbed, Three Doors Down, and Staind. Brian Bortnick has played acoustically for years prior to the formation of the band, mainly around the Philadelphia area. The band enjoys a fairly large following, considering the band is unsigned (as of January 2007), and not largely known outside of their locale.
September 24, 2007: Octane announces on their website, www.octanerocks.com, that Brian Bortnick will be leaving the band. Octane will continue with a new singer (to be determined).
October 2007, Octane announces their new singer will be David Simpson. His will make his debut on November 30, 2007.
Trivia
Currently, there is a band based out of West Jefferson, North Carolina using the name Octane as well. Formed in July of 2007, they have received quite a following on myspace in a short time. The band is currently in the studio recording a new demo with their new singer, Brandon Kennedy.
