Nurul Islam Saddam

Nurul Islam Saddam, known as Saddam, is a Bangladeshi student leader who is currently serving as the Central President of Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir for the 2026 session.

Early life and education

Nurul Islam Saddam was born in Sonadanga Model Thana, Khulna. He completed his secondary (Dakhil) and higher secondary (Alim) education from Darul Quran Siddikia Kamil Madrasah, Khulna under the Bangladesh Madrasah Education Board.

He obtained his Bachelor (BSS) and Master's (MSS) degrees in economics from Khulna University. Later, he completed an MBA in Finance from Northern University. Currently, he is pursuing a Professional Masters in Human Resource Management (PHRM) at the University of Dhaka.

Political career

Nurul Islam Saddam began his political career through student activism in Khulna. He served as the President of the Khulna City unit from January 2019 to July 2020. He has held several central positions within Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir, including:

• 2020–2021: Central Education & HRM Secretary
• 2022: Central Planning & Development Secretary
• 2023: Central Literature Secretary
• 2024: Central Office Secretary
• 2025: Central Secretary General
• 2026–present: Central President

In December 2025, he was elected as the Central President for the 2026 session.
