Tasfique Haque Nafew
Tasfique Haque Nafew () (born 20 November 1997) is a Bangladeshi social worker, disaster response organizer, and wildlife conservationist. He is known as one of the key organizers, group leader, and secretary of the HELDS Open Scout Group and HELDS Foundation. He also serves as the Organizing Secretary of a voluntary organization named Rapid Response BD.
He is particularly recognized for launching the "Mobile Oxygen Service" and isolation centers during the COVID-19 pandemic in Bangladesh, as well as for initiating the "Voluntary Paddy Harvesting" program to assist farmers.
Early life
Tasfique Haque Nafew was born in the village of Choto Shunoi in Phulpur Upazila, Mymensingh District, Bangladesh.
Volunteering and organizational leadership
Nafew has been involved in various social and Scouting movements since the beginning of his career. He gained field-level experience by serving as the former Youth Chief of the Bangladesh Red Crescent Society's Phulpur Upazila Unit.
Under his leadership, HELDS Open Scout Group and Rapid Response BD are currently actively participating in disaster management, public awareness, and social welfare activities.

Disaster response and humanitarian aid
- COVID-19 Response: During the coronavirus pandemic, he established an isolation center for poor patients in Phulpur and introduced the "Mobile Oxygen Cylinder Service" to quickly deliver oxygen to critical patients.
- Humanitarian Rescue: In 2020, he rescued an unconscious sick elderly woman lying on the roadside in Phulpur and arranged for her hospitalization, which was praised locally.
- Flood Response: During the floods in Feni District in August 2024, a volunteer team led by Tasfique Haque rescued flood victims from remote rural areas and led relief distribution activities.
Social awareness and reform
- Environmental Awareness: He conducted campaigns and publicity through "Rapid Response BD" to create public awareness AbOUT the environmental damage caused by sky lanterns and fireworks during English New Year celebrations.
Community service and wildlife conservation
- Voluntary Paddy Harvesting: In 2019, he initiated the "Voluntary Paddy Harvesting" program to assist farmers. As the group leader of the "HELDS Open Scout Group", he led this activity, which later became a popular volunteer model nationwide.
- Wildlife Rescue: He is actively involved in rescuing endangered wildlife and releasing them back into nature through the "HELDS Open Scout Group". In 2021, he led the rescue of an endangered Vulture in Phulpur.
