Norfolk Combined Youth Football League
The Norfolk Combined Youth Football League is an English football league that operates in the Norfolk area. It consists of over 50 clubs, and 500 teams, ranging from Under 7's to Under 17's.
History
The league was formed in 2016, as a merger of the South Norfolk Youth League, Norfolk Youth Football Combination and the North East Norfolk Youth League.
Sponsorship
In 2016, 4sports Group and Kappa Teamwear UK sponsored the cup and plate competitions for 3 seasons.
Format and regulations
The league is an FA Charter Standard League and all clubs entering the league require FA Charter Standard Status.
U17 Development Division
Over the years, previous leagues were unable to retain players who were not wanting to play adult football, Under 18's or Under 19's football. A big reason for this has been the gap between youth and adult football in terms of physicality where young 15- to 16-year-old players suddenly come up against adult players, some of whom are big and physical and have been around the adult scene for years. To try and bridge the gap, an U17 Division was voted for at the AGM on 13 June 2017. There are 12 teams in the division.
