Nishad George
Nishad George is an American heavy metal/hard rock guitarist from the San Francisco Bay Area in Northern California born in September 1992. He is currently studying at Berklee College of Music in Boston on scholarship. Originally a classically trained guitarist, he studied under John McRae, an former student of the world renowned Christopher Parkening. He switched interest to playing heavy metal at age 10, and has studied under Joe Stump, the current guitarist for Holyhell. He is known for his work with Carnatic music and the fusion of the genre with heavy metal with skill at a young age. He has noted that he is inspired by guitarists Steve Vai and Alexi Laiho.
Nishad played the Blooms Festival in Thrissur in Kerala in June 2009 and will return for June 2011.
He is currently writing and recording for his up and coming band, Mania. The debut record is estimated to be complete in June 2011.
