NintendoWorldReport

NintendoWorldReport is a Nintendo-specific website that covers all of Nintendo's current consoles, including the GBA, Nintendo DS, Nintendo GameCube, and Wii.

History

Nintendo World Report began its life as a small webpage run by Billy Berghammer in his spare time in March 1999. This site was merged with friend Justin Nation's Nintendo site OPN2000. The newly created name, PlanetN2000, lasted until the unveiling of the Nintendo GameCube, upon which the name was changed to Planet GameCube.

Shortly after Planet GameCube's fourth birthday in March of 2003, Billy Berghammer retired as Director to become an editor at Game Informer Magazine's new online branch. Taking over as Director for Berghammer was Jonathan Metts, who had run his own Nintendo website years prior with The Nformant.

Content

Games reviewed at Planet GameCube are judged based on the following criteria; Graphics, Sound, Control, Gameplay, and Lasting Appeal, although the final score is not averaged from the prior sections. Besides reviews, PGC also features previews, editorials, and other articles dealing with Nintendo's involvement in the gaming industry.

Writings staff

Nintendo World Report sports a staff of twenty writers who have appeared in publications such asN64HQ, 64 Source, Next-Generation Magazine, Nintendo Gamer (Australia), America Online, Fusion's Intelligent Gamer, Prima's N64 Guide, AOL Critics Choice, GamePro, and many others. NintendoWorldReport

On November 14, 2006 the staff of Planet GameCube announced that the site would be renamed NintendoWorldReport. The staff decided on this name because it sounds professional and encompasses every Nintendo product, present, and future. This namechange and ReDeSign "went live" on the main page on the evening of November 16th, 2006.
