NIIT Imperia Centre for Advanced Learning was created to provide management education from premier academic Institutes of India (IIMs) through Distance Learning and Technology to all major cities of India
History
NIIT Imperia was launched in September 2006 with tie ups with Indian Institute of Management(IIM) - Ahmedabad, Calcutta and Indore. To begin with, NIIT Imperia offered two programmes from each of the participating IIMs. These include three general management programmes for professionals with a minimum experience of three years, six years or 10 years, from IIM Indore, Ahmedabad and Calcutta, respectively. Slowly NIIT IMPERIA started increased its program offering. In its first year of existence, NIIT IMPERIA trained around 500 working professionals located all over India IIFT, IMT - Ghazibad and IIM Lucknow also joined with NIIT IMPERIA to offer Executive Management Programs through NIIT IMPERIA Synchronous Learnign Platform
Technology
At the core of NIIT Imperia's educational delivery methodology is Synchronous Learning technology. Students attend classes conducted by institute-faculty and delivered using the Synchronous Learning platform. Dedicated broadband two-way audio-video is used to create remote classrooms that are linked LIVE to teachers in the institutions. The technology permits full features of face-to-face teaching: from a raised-hand-seeking-teacher's-attention, to tabulation of responses to quizzes randomly created by the teacher.
Programs Of Study
NIIT Imperia Centre for Advanced Learning offers Executive Management Programs (4 month to 12 months), specialized Management Development Programs (typically 3 days to 10 days) and Customised Programs created to meet the needs of Indian Corporates.
All programs are offered in academic partnership with the premier Indian educational institutions. The partner-institution designs program contents and pedagogy, selects candidates, conducts all teaching and evaluation, and provides certification to the students.
