Biography
Nicole Piña was born in the Dominican Republic. She comes from a prominent Dominican family in which art is a way of life: her father is an architect, her uncle is an artist and her grandmother is a clothing designer. Her mother was a professional model in New York. Therefore she spent her early childhood years traveling between New York and her grandparent's residence in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. She attended middle school in Boston, Massachusetts. During this time she immersed herself in the city's thriving underground art scene by frequenting galleries and teaching after-school art classes to children in the community. At the age of 13, her family moved to Florida. She currently resides in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and has a day job as a retail district manager in Aventura, Florida.
She was selected as one of the five hottest women of color by the web site AfterEllen.com.
