NewRail
NewRail is a railway research centre based at Newcastle University in the United Kingdom. The aim of the research centre is to develop and maintain the highest international standards of excellence in rail-related research. Research takes place in the four areas of: Rail Freight and Logistics, Rail Vehicles, Rail Infrastructure and Rail Systems.
NewRail was founded in 2004 and receives UK and international research funding.
NewRail has a sister organisation - KURail - based at Kasetsart University, Thailand and has a collaboration agreement with Xiamen University of Technology, China.

NewRail's research projects run a number of conferences and workshops.
Education
NewRail has developed a number of Masters level courses in Rail Freight and Logistics and runs an annual International Summer School.
