NEED magazine
NEED is a quarterly American magazine focusing on humanitarian efforts in the United States and abroad. Published by NEED Communications, Inc. in Minneapolis, Minnesota, NEED uses photojournalism to build awareness and increase support for relief organizations and humanitarian aid. NEED’s mission is: “We are not to save the world, but to tell the stories of those who are.”
History
NEED magazine was conceptualized and founded by married couple Kelly (40) and Stephanie Kinnunen (40). The two first became interested in humanitarian aid while on trips to Russia, South America and Mexico. Over the past two years NEED has attracted a small staff of volunteer workers and has published four issues. The purpose of the magazine is to inspire readers to become personally involved with a humanitarian cause.
