Nangla Rangers Group

Nangla Rangers Group () is a well-known non-profit social and sports organization based in 4No. Nangla Union of Melandaha Upazila under Jamalpur District, Bangladesh. It primarily operates as a local sports club and community welfare organization. It was initially formed as a football and cricket team with the aim of keeping local youth away from drugs, crime, and mobile phone addiction.

History and Background

The organization was established in 2022 under the leadership of Md. Umor Faruk, along with a group of energetic local youths, to promote physical and mental development and to guide the youth toward becoming responsible citizens. While it started with grassroots sports development, it gradually expanded into a strong community welfare and relief distribution network across the Nangla Union.

Activities and Tournaments

Nangla Rangers Group remains ACTIVE throughout the year, conducting various athletic events and social welfare programs, which have been well-received by the local union parishad and administration:

• Sports Events: Organizing annual local football tournaments and winter cricket tournaments. The club also participates in friendly matches with clubs from neighboring unions.
• Social Welfare: Distributing food and clothing during Eid-ul-Fitr and Eid-ul-Adha, conducting winter blanket distribution drives for the underprivileged, and hosting talent hunt competitions.
• Public Awareness: Voluntary blood donation campaigns, tree plantation drives, and organizing seminars to educate the youth AbOUT the dangers of drug abuse.
