Nancy Freeman

Nancy Freeman is a leading figure in the area of ethics in the classroom of young children. Freeman co-wrote (with Stephanie Feeney) the NAEYC's Ethics and the Early Childhood Educator: Using the NAEYC Code of Ethics, which now stands as a standard document for absorption for burgeoning early childhood professionals.

A former kindergarten and primary grade teacher, Freeman earned her PhD in Early Childhood Education at the University of South Carolina. She currently serves as director of the research portion of the University's multi-million dollar Child Development Research Center.
