Synopsis

The story begins in the cottons mills of Lancashire when the mill workers begin to receive paid holidays and journey to the coast. Blackpool suddenly becomes a haven and a new breed of entertainers fill the Music Hall and Piers with there comedy and singing routines.

Slim Ingram interview

The Dvd features an exclusive interview with Slim Ingram, Slim was Arthur Lucans (Old Mother Riley) manager and friend. When Arthur became ill after coming off stage at the Travoli Theatre in Hull he died in Slims arms. Slim recalls the day and Arthurs story In a Spin off Dvd The Arthur Lucan Story also Produced by Matt Grindley.

Filming Locations
