Mr. Buckethead

'''Mr. Buckethead''' is a fictional live action [[tokusatsu]] superhero created by cartoonist and game designer Alex Strang in 1986, the star of four live action films, and an interactive comic book (or manga) series.

== Premise ==

Mr Buckethead is a mysterious superhero with a currently undisclosed origin story, but with a hinted connection to toys and action figures. He is portrayed as a friendly, often hapless good samaritan, and a thoroughly effiicient monster-fighter and world-saver. Mr. Buckethead has never been portrayed speaking and exhibits mime-like characteristics when attempting communication with others.

== Secret Identity ==

Mr Buckethead is portrayed as a being with a head that is a bucket, as opposed to a being with a bucket over a pre-existing head. This puts forward the notion that he is not human. His ability to transform and perform other mechanical feats gives him a robot-like quality, though he is clearly organic in other respects.
Various actors and stuntmen have portrayed Mr. Buckethead over the years though their identities are never officially disclosed.

== Superpowers ==

Mr Buckethead’s primary ability is the withdrawal of any number of specialized items from within his own head. Most of these are accessed simply by reaching into the bucket-head with one or two hands though some items actually extrude from the head in a more mechanical fashion. In many cases during the films, the name of the item or transformation is ‘called out’ by a narrator.
Mr. Buckethead has also displayed a variety of tricky acrobatic moves and ‘magic tricks’ that do not require items.
Mr. Buckethead can also transform into various vehicles and other large objects.
His signature facial expression rarely changes, except in extreme cases of duress or other overriding needs of functionality. (eating, etc)

== Interactive Comic Book ==
In 2002, Cybergecko began the puiblication of a series of interactive comic books (or manga) entiled The Mr. Buckethead Adventure Game Series, expanding the principle of interactive fiction but with a heavily illustrated format.
In these books, readers play the role of Mr. Buckethead and guide the character through convoluted adventures loosely based on the film series. Each volume features the use of Secret Action Powers, appearances by old enemies as well as new ones, and a bonus multiplayer Monster Fight Game where readers can battle each other using different characters from the stories.
