Michelle F. Henry (Dermatologist)

Michelle F. Henry is an American dermatologist, dermatologic surgeon, and clinical educator. She is the founder of Skin & Aesthetic Surgery of Manhattan and a clinical instructor of dermatology at Weill Cornell Medical College. Henry specializes in cutaneous oncology, Mohs micrographic surgery, and cosmetic dermatology.

Early Life and Education

Henry was raised in Missouri City, Texas, a suburb of Houston. From a young age she aspired to become a physician, pointing to a childhood experience shadowing doctors on "Take Your Child to Work Day." Henry earned her medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine, where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. She completed her dermatology residency at Weill Cornell Medicine/NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, followed by additional fellowship training in Mohs surgery, laser surgery, and cosmetic dermatology.

Career

Henry is the founder and medical director of Skin & Aesthetic Surgery of Manhattan, a practice specializing in medical, surgical, and aesthetic dermatology. She is affiliated with NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital and serves as a clinical instructor of dermatology at Weill Cornell Medicine, where she trains residents in procedural dermatology and laser medicine.

Her clinical work includes skin cancer detection and treatment, keloid management, laser and energy-based procedures, and minimally invasive aesthetic interventions. Henry frequently highlights the importance of safety and efficacy in dermatologic treatments for diverse skin tones.

Media and public engagement

Henry is a nationally recognized dermatology expert featured in health and beauty media. She appeared in Coveteur, discussing innovations, trends, and ethical considerations in cosmetic dermatology. She is also a contributing expert for SELF Magazine, where she provides dermatologic insight on skincare, acne, hyperpigmentation, and cosmetic treatments. Henry lectures nationally on aesthetic dermatology, surgical techniques, and advancements in skin-of-color care. She has spoken at the Masters of Aesthetics Symposium and participates in educational programming with the Melanoma Research Foundation.
