Michael Weidokal

Michael Weidokal (born August 31, 1972) is an American international economics and geopolitics expert specializing in international political risk, economic development and global balance of power issues. He is the president and founder of ISA (International Strategic Analysis), a leading economic research and political risk forecasting firm. ISA provides international economic forecasts, political risk analysis and international strategic consulting to businesses, governments and universities around the world.

Weidokal founded ISA in 2003 after a period as an economic and industrial research leader at PricewaterhouseCoopers. At ISA, Weidokal has led the firm’s research and development efforts that have made ISA one of the world’s leading providers of international economic, political, demographic and environmental research. Among the recent research projects led by Weidokal are 2010’s BRIC+M Emerging Market Risk Comparison and 2009’s Selling Consumer Goods in China – A Study of 46 Leading Chinese Urban Markets. In addition, Weidokal is a frequent contributor to ISA’s ISA Global Update and ISA Monthly Update newsletters , as well as ISA’s Country Reports, Region Reports, Economic Forecasts and International Risk Forecasts.

Weidokal has contributed to major economic research projects for a number of government bodies, including the United Nations, the British government, the Australian government, a number of Latin American governments and a host of state and local governments in North America, In addition, Weidokal is a frequent speaker at international trade and development events as well as corporate meetings in dozens of countries.
