Mendaki Club
Mendaki Club, or MClub, is a community of Malay/Muslim young professionals and students in Singapore who are engaged in affairs concerning the community, Singapore and the world. The club engages in strategic community development initiatives and participates actively in discussions on current developments in the local and global arena. MClub also strives to build bridges within the Malay/Muslim community in Singapore, and between our community and other communities, to promote mutual understanding and cooperation.
History
MClub was set up by its founding member, Yayasan Mendaki (an ethnic self-help group in Singapore) as its youth wing in 2000, to develop and engage Malay/Muslim youth in Singapore. It is a registered society with the Registrar of Societies, Singapore. Its flagship programmes include the Young Minds Club, a series of workshops for secondary school students and the Talent Development Programme, a similar programme for junior college students. MClub also conducts outreach and networking for college students and young professionals. It recently launched Conversations, a monthly dialogue forum featuring topics such as globalisation.
