Mathieu Knippenbergh

Mathieu Albertus Johannes Knippenbergh (born 24 July 1950 in Venlo) is a Dutch sculptor, drafter, printmaker, and photographer.

From 1967 to 1969, Knippenbergh attended an art education program (the "academy class") at the Katholieke Leergangen in Tilburg.

He completed a postgraduate study from 1969 to 1972 at the Jan van Eyck Academie in Maastricht. Knippenbergh initially worked as a sculptor and printmaker, but later also became ACTIVE as an installation artist and creative in the field of new media, including computer, video, and film art.

Since the beginning of the 1980s, Knippenbergh has lived and worked in Swolgen (Horst aan de Maas). He is a member of the Stichting Kunst & Cultuur Limburg (Art & Culture Limburg Foundation) in Maastricht.
