Mark Daigneault (basketball coach)
Mark Daigneault is an American professional basketball coach, who is currently serving as the head coach for the Oklahoma City Blue of the NBA G League.
Career
After graduating from Leominster High School in 2003, Daigneault enrolled at the University of Connecticut. He did not play basketball for UConn, but served as student manager and in 2005 took over an undergraduate assistant coach position under head coach Jim Calhoun and was as co-director of the Jim Calhoun Basketball Camp from 2005 to 2007. He earned his bachelor’s degree in education in 2007.
From 2007 to 2010, Daigneault was assistant for the Holy Cross Crusaders men's basketball team, working under head coach Ralph Willard. His primary responsibilities included film exchange, camp coordination and opponent scouting.
In 2010, he enrolled at the University of Florida to pursue a master’s degree in sport management and landed a graduate manager/assistant coaching position for the Florida Gators men's basketball team under head coach Billy Donovan.
In August 2014, Daigneault was named head coach of the Oklahoma City Blue of the NBA D-League. In the 2016-17 season, he guided the team to the Western Conference Southwest Division championship and to the Conference Finals, where they fell short to the Rio Grande Valley Vipers.
