Marcus Servius Quintiatus
Marcus Servius Quintiatus is a former Roman Senator involved in the Cataline Conspiracy. While his contribution to the debate over the issue is GeneRally overlooked, this is simply because he was one of many who wished to condemn Cataline to immediate public execution.
Marcus Servius Quintiatus was born of a wealthy Patrician family sometime in the first century, B.C.E. Because of his family's long-time standing as an elite family in the Roman aristocracy, Quintiatus was often noted as having an acute sense of entitlement and [[haughtiness]. Indeed, it was written by elder members of the Senate, such as Cato the Younger and Julius Caesar, that Quintiatus often violated orders, leading large groups of children throughout the city without their permission.
In addition to this reckless behavior, it is believed that Quintiatus was a closet homosexual. While such behavior cannot be proven, several private letters between Quintiatus and Cicero reveal some sort of amorous relationship between the two.
