Manyilirah William
Manyilirah William, born on 29th December 1974, is a Ugandan surgeon. Since graduating as a medical doctor from Makerere University medical school in 2000, he has served devotedly in countryside hospitals in Uganda. His commitment and unrelenting character saw a remarkable improvement in health service delivery at Kapchorwa Hospital, a district referral health unit located in the eastern region of Uganda. For the selfless service to the community (during his tenure as the Medical Superintendent of the hospital) he 'caught the eye' of the Uganda Medical Association which recognised him as one of the three best performing medical doctors in Uganda in the year 2005.<http://www.linkedin.com/in/williammanyilirah> He is also in the process of introducing a new method of groin hernia surgery in Uganda.
