Manoj Kana

MANOJ KANA is a veteran malayalam theatre artist and a drama maker. He directed and staged fifteen stage plays and thirty street plays, includes Piranha(2007) and Uratti (2005), that got lot of state awards. Kana was born in Payyannur, in the Kannur district of Kerala, India. Moreover this he is a social activist who is ACTIVE in daytoday issues

More than fifteen years of experience in Malayalam theatre field. Actively interferes with daytoday political and socio cultural affairs by street plays as well as speeches over various issues. Conducted two street play journeys all over Kerala. Directed and staged fifteen stage plays and thirty street plays.

Awards and Recognitions

Won the first ‘Yuva Prathibha’ award for youngsters contected by P. J Antony Foundation. Best director award in the year 2005 by Kerala Sangetha Nadaka academy for the play Uratti, Atlas- Kairali award for the best scriptwriter, special jury award from Kerala Sangeetha Nadaka Academy for the play Piranha. Attended so many national theatre festivals all over India.
