Lula Parker Betenson

Elizabeth M. 'Lula' Betenson (nee Parker) (5 April 1884 - May 1980) was a sister of Robert LeRoy Parker, alias Butch Cassidy. She married Joseph A. Betenson and they lived in Circleville, Piute County, Utah.

She wrote the book Butch Cassidy, My Brother in which she states that Butch survived the shootout in Bolivia and came back to the United States (as did Sundance and Etta Place.)

Mrs. Betenson also claims that she knew where Butch was buried, after his death by pneumonia, in "the fall of 1937," in the "Northwest." She refused to give more information, and offered no proof, stating that she feared that Butch's remains would be exhumed.
