Lucia Arana

Lucia Arana was born in Lima, Peru, 1981. She studied, at the same time as photography, at the University of Lima where she graduated with honors from College of Communications, majoring in advertising and graphic design.

She had studied photography at different prestigious schools in the United States like: Julia Dean Photographic Workshop, Maine Media Workshops, Santa Fe Workshops and International Centre of Photography. She also studied at London College of Communications. In these workshops Lucia had the opportunity to learn from recognized photographers such as Norman Jean Roy, Platon, Joe McNally, Judd Pilosoff, Andrew Eccles, among others.

All this made her decide to co-fund, in conjunction with Vanessa Levaggi, her own photography studio called Zul Studio (2005), company dedicated to the production of photographs.

Hard work never distracted her passion for her artistic photography, coming to exhibit her [...] pictures in Photo Pluss Gallery and The Tasting Room in New York City.

In 2008 she signed a contract with the renowned company Global Assignments of Getty Images, based in New York City, to be represented at an international level, entering a new stage in her career.
