Lucas Defise

Lucas Nsiona Defise (born 19 October 2001) is a Belgian footballer who plays as a midfielder for Southern League Premier Division South club Walton & Hersham.

Club career

Defise started his career with AFC Wimbledon and Chelsea, before transferring to Southampton in 2018. He advanced through their youth ranks to the under-21 team, and in September 2021, he returned to his home country of Belgium to join Union SG. On 27 January 2022, Defise joined Eerste Divisie side, Helmond Sport on loan for the remainder of the campaign. He went onto feature ten times for the Dutch side before returning to Union SG in June.

Following his departure from Union SG at the end of the 2022–23 campaign, Defise returned to England in October 2023 to join National League South side, Dartford. He went onto feature once for the Kent-based side before leaving a month later to join Eastbourne Borough. On 18 November 2023, Defise made his debut for Eastbourne, featuring in their 2–0 FA Trophy second round away defeat to Hendon.

Ahead of the 2024–25 campaign, Defise agreed to join Southern League Premier Division South club, Walton & Hersham following a successful trial period. Defise made his debut for the club on the opening day of the season during a 1–0 defeat to AFC Totton and eventually scored his first professional goal in a 3–3 draw with Hanworth Villa. He then subsequently dual-registered with Hanworth Villa in March 2025.

International career

Defise has represented Belgium at under-17 level, earning his first call-up in 2018.
