'''Littleroot Town''' ('''Mishiro Town''' (ミシロタウン ''Mishiro Taun'') in the original Japanese version) is a [[fictional city]] in the [[Pokémon]] series, located in the [[Hoenn]] region. It is a small town with three buildings, but it is an important place in the beginning of [[Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire]], as well as [[Pokémon Emerald]].

The place of residence of the main character. It will be on the left if the player chooses the male character, and on the right if the player chooses the female. The 2nd floor is your room.

=== Professor Birch/Rival House ===

Prof. Birch, his wife, and his only child live in this house. It will be on the right if the player chooses the female character, and on the left if the player chooses the male. This is where you meet your rival, who will be the character you chose not to play.

=== Professor Birch's lab ===

The [[laboratory]] of [[Professor Birch]] is located here. Unlike the previous Pokémon games, the player does not receive his or her first Pokémon in the lab.

This is the place where the player receives the [[Pokédex]] after saving Professor Birch from a [[Poochyena]] (Ruby/Sapphire) or a [[Zigzagoon]] (Emerald) in the wild. If the player has completed the Hoenn Pokédex in Pokémon Emerald (excluding Jirachi and Deoxys), and has obtained the National Pokédex from Professor Birch, the player can receive one of the starter Pokèmon from [[Johto]] (Gold, Silver, and Crystal).

==Littleroot Town in the animé==

In the first Hoenn episode of the [[Pokémon (anime)|animé]], May rides her bike to Littleroot Town to get her starter Pokémon from Professor Birch. However, the Prof. has left to help Ash and Pikachu. The rest of that episode happens outside the town, but the group later return to the lab, where May chooses [[Torchic]].

==Demographics==
The population of Littleroot Town is 9, making it the second smallest location in Hoenn, only behind [[Ever Grande City]].
