List of Test cricket series between England and New Zealand

England and New Zealand have been competing against each other in Test cricket series since 1929–30.{{#tag:ref|Cricket is generally played during the summer months of the country in which it takes place: therefore in England it is typically played between May and September, while in New Zealand it typically takes place between October and April. To reflect this, cricket seasons are listed as YYYY in England, and YYYY–YY in New Zealand.|group="note" |name="series"}} The first series between the sides, which was also New Zealand's first as a Test nation, was won 1–0 by England with 3 matches drawn. Since that time the series have varied in length with multiple matches being played per series except for one occasion in 1946–47.

It took until 1977–78 for New Zealand to register their first Test victory against England, in the 18th series meeting, New Zealand won one match in a drawn series. New Zealand won their first series in 1983–84, which was followed by another victory in 1986. Their only other series victory was in 1999. The two sides have played in 32 series with England winning 22, New Zealand 3 and 7 drawn.
