Entries are from oldest to youngest. Actors are listed with the year of their Hollywood debut, along with any films they had credited roles in (maximum of 7) which are now considered classics. Films listed include those produced after United States v. Paramount Pictures, Inc, the 1948 federal case considered the first "nail in the coffin" of the studio system, up to the near-bankruptcy of many major studios in the late 50s and early 1960s. Not to be confused with List of surviving silent film actors.
