LIFE (church)
LIFE is a Pentecostal Christian church based in Auckland, New Zealand. It was formerly known as Christian Life Centre Auckland.
The church was founded in 1991 by Paul de Jong and his wife Maree, who had previously been Associate Pastors of Christian Life Centre Sydney (now part of Hillsong Church). Initially meeting in rented venues, the church grew rapidly to over 500 people.
In 2001 the church purchased an office and warehouse complex which was converted into a 950 seat auditorium. By late 2002 the total weekend attendance over four services had risen to over 3000, and two new congregations had been established in other parts of Auckland. In 2006 another was added. LIFE now numbers over 8000 people meeting in four centres across the city.
The four venues are:
Central, at Mt Eden
South, at Airport Oaks
West, at Henderson
Coast, at Orewa
With an East venue at Pakuranga starting March 8th
