Libertyx

LibertyX (formerly Liberty Teller) is the largest cash-to-bitcoin network in the US. It has 19,000+ local stores nationwide where customers can go and use cash to instantly purchase digital currencies. The company was founded in 2014 when co-founders Chris Yim and Kyle Powers launched America's first bitcoin ATMs in Boston's South Station, one of the nation's busiest train stations. The company has since sold its bitcoin ATMs to CoinOutlet and transitioned to a software-based model. The company platform uses cashiers as "virtual" ATMs. The company is partnered with financial services such as Uphold to provide a suite of services for the cash-preferred customer.

The company's founders met while pursuing their MBA degrees at the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania before dropping out.

The company was part of the MassChallenge accelerator program and raised seed funding from Project 11.
