Lee Sibanda

Lee Sibanda (b. May 25, 1984) is a Scottish footballer.

Sibanda started his career at Dunfermline Athletic and would spend just under four years at the club under Manager Jimmy Calderwood 2000-2003, initially as a Midfielder he was known for his pace, skill and tremendous delivery. After a promising start to his Dunfermline career it would be shortened by injury and he would be released at the end of the 2003 season. After leaving Dunfermline he had a short spell at Montrose under the co management team of ex Rangers player David Robertson and Eddie Wolecki where he would play as a Striker and would continue his career in that position.

After a Long term injury where he would spend a few years out of the game, before returning to the Junior Scottish ranks Lee would develop into a very good goal scorer playing for Newburgh F.C 2004 to 2006 and Lochore Welfare 2006/2007 where he would be known for his hard working and never say die attitude, scoring over 50 goals in just over 100 appearances. In his only season for Lochore season 2006/2007 he became a fans favourite and would score 25 goals.

At the beginning of the 2008 season Lee would receive a phone call from Australia, from a former team mate of his at Dunfermline Athletic who was now coaching out in Australia, asking him if he would like to up the chance to join Doncaster Rovers SC at the start of the 2009. Lee would take this opportunity but with the season not starting until January 2009 he would play for a further 6 months in Scotland with well known amateur side Cupar Hearts, he would Score a tremendous 23 goals in 21 games in his 6 month stint at the club.

At the start of 2009 he would move to Australia and sign a one year deal at state League club Doncaster Rovers SC.
