Ökoinstitut Südtirol/Alto Adige

The Ökoinstitut Südtirol/Alto Adige (in English: Ecoinstitute South Tyrol) is a non-governmental environmental organization with the aim to promote a sustainable development. It was founded in 1989 by Hans Glauber among others and is active at the national and international level. Its office is located in Bolzano, South Tyrol.

Areas of Activity

The Ökoinstitut Südtirol/Alto Adige is in charge of several projects at the national and international level and provides public as well as private institutions with professional advice. Its areas of activity cover a number of fields, ranging from mobility, climate and energy to the organization of awareness-raising measures. Among other projects, the institute organizes the Car-Free Days in South Tyrol and is responsible for the bicycle mobility concept of the flagship-city Bolzano or the developmental cooperation about the spreading of solarthermics.
